Art Mart - a new kind of art and crafts store in Tampere

Art Mart is a community-based, low-threshold art and gift shop to be established in Tampere, where you will find products from local artists and craftsmen, as well as gift ideas, interior design items, art and craft books, stationery, and clothing and accessories. Our goal is to support Finnish art and crafts - we say no to artificial intelligence-generated or stolen illustrations.

How we work

Our business is based on table rental, where vendors receive 100% of the revenue from sales - we do not charge any other commissions! The rent covers the sales area, product racks, cleaning, stocking and much more. 

We want to make our business with the benefit of artists and craftsmen first - that's why our cheapest sales area costs only 1.5 euros per day of sale or 30 euros for four weeks!

Crowdfunding campaign

We need your help to make Art Mart a reality! We are seeking funding to get Art Mart off the ground through the Mesenaatti crowdfunding platform - the fundraising will be implemented as a consideration-based campaign, which will be held in March-April 2026. 

If the crowdfunding campaign is successful, the estimated opening of the store will take place between June and August.

Services

Rental

We offer the opportunity to rent a sales space in Art Mart's premises. The minimum sales period is 4 weeks, which ensures a more consistent sales for our tenants. 
The rented space includes regular cleaning and filling of the space.


Commission-based sales

If renting a sales space is not a sensible solution for your products, you can bring your products to Art Mart for sale on a commission basis. 
This option is ideal for unique products and valuable or perishable items.

Pop-up spot

On weekends, we are also happy to welcome pop-up vendors to Art Mart. Pop-up vendors are provided with a sales table and two chairs for the duration of the sales period. 

We charge a small fee for the Pop-up sales location.
